Swimming Pool Shoot

When I read through the exam questions that I had to choose from, my mind, as many people's would, pictured 'Sub-aqua' literally - taking pictures while in a swimming pool or the sea etc. This is when I knew that I wanted to experiment with actually taking pictures while underwater as well as taking pictures of things that are underwater themselves. I conducted this shoot fairly late in the project due to certain limitations and the time it took to obtain a swimming pool to use, there is more about the limitations of underwater photography on the following page. I wanted to go more down the path of portraiture and fashion photography, similar to the work of Mark Mawson, as opposed to photographing things such as inanimate objects. These edited images from the swimming pool shoot are below.

The images are obviously blurred, and no, I didn't mean to do this; an explanation as to why this may have happened is also on the following page. However, despite the blurriness of the shots, I like how they ultimately turned out because it give a sense of mystery and curiosity to the images; the model and some of her outfits cannot easily be identified.
